Our Story
My wife and I started Texas Bass Angler in 2014 when we came back to Texas after I got out of the Marine Corps. I was born and raised in Texas, and loved bass fishing – hence we decided to start Texas Bass Angler together, as a way to combine those two things. I was fishing every chance that I had. I’d fish in between my classes and every night when I got home from work. If the weather was bad we would go to Academy Sports & Outdoors or Bass Pro Shops, which at the time, was just down the street.
We started out bank fishing, then upgraded to kayaks when we still lived in our apartment and didn’t have room or the money for a boat. A few years later, we decided to donate our kayaks and trailer to Heroes on the Water, because we believe in their mission to support veterans through bass fishing.
Currently, I fish in the Big Bass Tour, FLW Fishing – TH-Marine BFL Okie series, and McKinney Bass Club tournaments. We’ve also been known to compete in a few barbecue competitions now and then with T&T Smokers.
That’s our lives in a nut shell. So if you’re as crazy as we are about Texas and Texas bass fishing, join us on our adventures and become a Texas Bass Angler. Keep on rippin’!

We Support Heroes on the Water
We are a veteran owned business and believe in giving back where we can. We discovered Heroes on the Water several years ago and fell in love with their mission. We’ve donated our kayaks, fishing gear, and trailer to support their mission of helping other veterans cope with PTSD. We also donate a percent of our sales each year to benefit their organization. The more we sell, the more we can donate. It’s as simple as that. To learn more about Heroes on the Water, please visit their website here.
